Call for Nominations 2024
The Haddam-Killingworth Hall of Fame is issuing its annual call for nominations, as we begin putting together the Class of 2024. The Haddam-Killingworth Hall of Fame was established in 2009 to recognize individuals from our communities who meet one or both of the following criteria: 1. Exemplary Commitment to the Service of the Children of Haddam and/or Killingworth. 2. Outstanding Record of Service to the Community (Haddam and/or Killingworth) In addition, the individual must be an excellent role model, exhibiting behavior that is highly ethical, caring, and one in which the individual assumes responsibility for his or her actions. Nominated individuals, who are chosen by the selection committee, will be honored at a banquet held in the May of 2024 and will have their names permanently inscribed into the Haddam-Killingworth Hall of Fame. The Eric Auer/Patsy Kamercia HK Hall of Fame Student Civic Achievement Award is based on outstanding commitment to Community Service in the towns of Haddam and Killingworth and to the youth of our communities.
The HK Hall of Fame Student Civic Achievement Award Committee had the pleasure to present the Patsy Kamercia Civic Achievement Award ($500) to Crystal Lentz and the Eric Auer Civic Achievement Award ($500) to Maxwell LiPuma in recognition of their outstanding community service. The members of the HK Hall of Fame wish to congratulate Crystal and Max on their achievements. Best wishes to the class of 2020 on your journey after high school. This year’s celebration honoring HK Hall of Fame inductees Elizabeth “Betty” Cernan, Robert Kadrle, Betty Meyer, Susan Rutty, Carol Sheridan, and Edward Yantosh has been rescheduled to May of 2021 due to Corona Virus concerns. We hope to announce the date and time for the rescheduled celebration in the fall of 2020. Eleventh Annual HK Hall of Fame Inductees announced:
This year's celebration honors six individuals who have served their communities with distinction for many years. Please join us on Thursday, May 7, 2020 as we honor Elizabeth "Betty" Cernan, Robert Kadrle, Betty Meyer, Susan Rutty, Carol Sheridan and Edward Yantosh. The induction ceremony and dinner will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 6pm at The Riverhouse, 55 Bridge Road, Haddam, CT. Tickets are $40 and include dinner. There will also be a Silent Auction which benefits the Eric Auer/Patsy Kamercia Student Civic Achievement Award.
